How to get rid of a dry and chapped lips this winter

Milk cream

While the rich fat content in cream aids moisturize your lips, the other nutrients in it can aid you lighten dark lips. Rub some fresh milk cream on your lips and massage for a some  minutes. After about ten to fifteen minutes, wash with warm water. Do this twice daily to aid your lips stay pink and soft.

Olive oil

Olive oil includes healthy fatty acids that give the lips with the essential moisture they require thereby leaving them make soft and supple. Mix together 1 teaspoon each of olive oil with any other necessary oil of your choice, like  tea tree oil or grape seed oil. Utilizing a Q-tip, apply this over your lips and leave overnight. Do this all day for better results.


This natural moisturizer even has soothing and antibacterial properties that further aid  get rid of dry and chapped lips. All night before going to bed, apply few raw organic honey on your chapped lips and leave overnight. In the morning, wash away with tepid water.

Aloe vera

The anti-bacterial properties in aloe vera aid soothe dry and chapped skin thereby removing the dead layer of a skin cells. Extract few gel out of a freshly cut aloe vera leaf and apply directly onto your lips. Do this many times a day for better results.

Ghee or butter

Ghee and butter, both include essential fatty acids that aid condition and nourish dry and chapped skin. Massage a some drops of ghee into your lips and leave for about fifteen to twenty  minutes. Wash with tepid water. Alternatively, you can even leave overnight.
